MARTIN DONNELLY
General Manager
Martin Donnelly was born in Demotte, IN and has lived in AZ since 2004. Martin brings to Arizona Sun Sales 16 years of inside sales experience at a conveyor company based out of Indiana. He loves football and baseball and is a huge fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Notre Dame and Chicago White Sox. He has finished seven half marathons and one full marathon, he now is into bicycling. He enjoys vacations, especially to Las Vegas. Martin has been married since 2002, has three children and 2 dogs. He spends most of his time with family and friends. He enjoys the outdoors camping, hunting and fishing.

Russell Genet is an experienced leader in the utility industry with a strong background in engineering, operations, and power system protection and controls. An Army Veteran and Journeyman Relay Technician, Russell brings a unique combination of hands-on field experience and strategic leadership, allowing him to understand challenges from both technical and operational perspectives. He spent the last thirteen years at Salt River Project (SRP), where he most recently served as a Senior Engineering Manager leading engineering teams and field crews, managing multi-million-dollar operations and capital portfolios, and supporting modernization efforts across SRP’s hydropower fleet. His career progression includes roles in relay, system protection, control C&M, and I&C supervision, building a deep technical foundation alongside proven leadership capability. Russell holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and graduated summa cum laude. Outside of work, Russell enjoys spending time with his wife Jamie and their two Dachshunds, Tito and Poker. With their three children grown, Russell and Jamie are embracing life as empty nesters, taking advantage of opportunities to glamp, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with family and friends. Russell draws on his experience in the field, engineering, and as a customer within the utility industry to better understand the challenges his customers face, and he is passionate about applying that perspective to deliver practical, reliable solutions that work in the real world and create lasting value.
MIKE GUGERTY
Senior Sales
Mike Gugerty was previously with Southern California Edison for 22 years. Most recently he was the manager of substation and transmission inspection at SCE where he was responsible for CAISO and NERC compliance of its 12000 miles of transmission lines and 800+ substations. Prior roles included protection engineering, instructor at SCE’s test technician school, technical support for protection and automation engineering and test technicians during the automation of approximately 400 substations. His purpose at Arizona Sun Sales is to help our customers meet their objectives by applying his two plus decades of hands-on experience. When Mike is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, jiu jitsu, fishing, backpacking, and the outdoors.
JACE HERMANSON
President of Large Utilities Group, MBA CPMR
Jace’s professional career started in the Flight Simulator industry as a technician and engineer. He worked on both hardware and software modifications for commercial and Air Force flight simulators. After a brief career at Intel FAB 7/9 in New Mexico, Jace relocated to Arizona to complete his Master’s degree in Business Administration. In the Phoenix area Jace has owned and operated an insurance and financial services business, and worked as Adjunct Faculty for the Maricopa Community Colleges. In April of 2012 Jace left Grand Canyon State Electric Cooperative Association as the Director of Loss Control and Safety Services. Being born and raised in North Dakota, Jace enjoys camping, hunting, hiking, and fishing with his wife Kim, son Tait and their dog Captain Morgan. In January of 2017 Jace has completed his Certification as a Professional Manufacturers Representative.

Rick is a New Mexico native born and raised in Santa Fe and now resides in Grants. He has 20+ years of sales experience, 5 of which are in the utility market and 5 years as a purchasing manager for a utility cooperative in NM. He has an Associate's Degree in general business from Phoenix College and a Bachelor's degree in business from the University of Arizona where he was also a member of both Phoenix College and Arizona baseball teams. He enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and 2 pit bulls, Ollie and Lucy.
JOHN "JD" PEREZA

JD is a native of Arizona, born and raised in the Tucson area. His 17 years of experience in the utility industry help to provide insight into some of the unique needs and solutions our customers may have. JD has a Degree in Electronic Systems Technology and is certified by the State of Arizona as a Journeyman Powerhouse Electrician. Most recently he worked as a Protection and Communication Foreman for Western Area Power Administration where he helped to ensure the security and reliability of power systems in Arizona and Nevada for the last 6 years. Prior to that he worked as a Senior Equipment Technician for Trico Electric Cooperative. In his free time JD enjoys coaching youth sports and spending time with his family.

Felicia grew up in DeMotte, IN before moving to Arizona in 2013 to go to college at ASU. She graduated with a bachelors in graphic design. She loves hiking and spending time with her husband Ryan and their two dogs Bradley Cooper & Missy Elliott. In her free time, she loves to embroider and crochet.
JAMES WIESER

James Wieser is a Phoenix native with a BS in electrical engineering from Arizona State University. He has 16 years of utility design experience starting as a design engineer at Palo Verde Generating Station. His most recent experience was at Salt River Project (SRP) first as a substation design engineer. Where he managed SRP’s top 5 multi-million dollar substations project for many years in a row. Ending his time there as a protection and control design engineer. His hobbies are diverse but is always with family and friends. Some of them include offroad racing, on road track days, home automation and networking.
